Job summary

Wilson Stuart School, part of EIAT Multi Academy Trust in North Birmingham, is seeking a dedicated Swimming Assistant to support pupils during swimming sessions and help them build confidence and independence in the water.

You will work closely with the swimming team to provide a safe, inclusive environment where every pupil can participate, with personal care support as needed and a strong focus on safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in swimming or similar settings.
• Ability to swim 50 metres and help pupils safely.
• Willingness to provide personal care.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to develop confidence and enjoyment in water.
• Work with swimming team to meet individual needs.
• Assist pupils with personal care before/after swimming.
• Maintain safe, inclusive pool environment.
• Encourage participation and track progress.
