• to deliver swimming lessons in line with Swim England standards and the quality expectations of New Hall School

Reporting to the Head of Swimming, the successful candidate will contribute to a well-established programme that offers opportunities for swimmers to learn, develop and compete throughout the academic year, supported by excellent facilities including a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, and a dedicated team of experienced swimming professionals.

Key responsibilities:

• to deliver swimming lessons in line with Swim England standards and the quality expectations of New Hall School
• to assist in the development and delivery of the swimming teaching programme
• to teach all levels of the Swim England Learn to Swim programme

The successful candidate will be expected:

• to have a clear understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and ethos of a Catholic independent boarding and day school
• to hold a Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or above)
• to have previous experience of working in a School or similar educational environment
• to have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• to demonstrate the ability to build positive and professional relationships with students, parents and staff
• to have a clear understanding of the importance of promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students
• to demonstrate a calm, approachable, and empathetic manner when working with young people
