Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons at Guildford Spectrum. The role offers casual hours and training support to ensure you succeed in helping customers achieve their goals.

You will work with people of all ages and abilities while ensuring safety and a welcoming environment. DBS checks and a Level 2 qualification are required, with benefits and flexible working options available.

We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their manager and colleagues. In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons at Guildford Spectrum to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

Hours

Casual hours, as and when needed.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
