Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a part-time Swim Teacher for casual hours at its leisure centres across England and Wales. You will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages, ensuring they feel supported and make progress in their goals.

We provide training and support, with a flexible hours pattern and a strong emphasis on welcoming, inclusive environments. DBS checks will be carried out, and Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Teach swimming to children/adults per programme and qualifications.
• Communicate with children's parents/guardians about development and progression.
• Supervise pool users, ensuring safety and discipline.

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when required.

Requirements

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Welsh Language skills are desirable
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
• An ability to assist with children and their parents
• Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out
