Job summary

Freedom Leisure is looking for a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities in our leisure centres. You will ensure learners feel supported and are achieving their goals, with full training provided.

Requirements include a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and an Enhanced DBS check, plus excellent communication and the ability to engage children and parents. Flexible casual hours and staff benefits available.

Qualifications

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming to customers of all ages and abilities as part of the leisure centre's lesson programme.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress and guidance.
• Assist in supervising pool area to ensure safety and discipline.
• Provide excellent customer service and engage with learners.
• Maintain required DBS and qualifications during employment.
