Freedom Leisure in England is recruiting a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring support and goal achievement. We provide training and support, and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds with potential first-time job entrants.

Hours are casual and as required. You will teach to children and adults per the programme, communicate with parents about progress, assist in supervising the pool area and maintain safety, and uphold excellent

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work with children and parents to monitor progress.
• Experience in delivering swimming lessons is a plus.

We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their manager and colleagues.

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when required.

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS check
