Job summary

Enfield Council on Morson Road Depot is recruiting a Sweeper Driver up to 7.5 ton, with AM 6am-2pm and PM 2pm-10pm shifts. Please indicate your preferred shift in the application.

You will hold a full UK manual driving licence with category C1 (up to 7.5 tonnes) and a CPC licence, be on your feet all day in all weather, and complete basic paperwork using maps and mobile technology.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep and remove waste within the Borough (roads, pavements, shopping areas).
  • Transfer waste to the collection vehicle for transport to a waste processing facility.
  • Be on your feet all day and work in all weather conditions.
  • Maintain a courteous and efficient collection service and project a positive image of Enfield Council.
  • Ensure any potential danger to yourself, colleagues or the public is minimised.
  • Read maps and operate mobile technology for paperwork and routing.

We are recruiting for Street Cleansing Sweeper - Driver up to 7.5ton working on behalf of the Borough Council.


The posts are for driver operatives for up to 7.5ton (Cat C1) vehicles and or mechanical sweepers.


For these posts you will need to hold a full valid manual UK driving licence, with the ability to drive a range of vehicles category C1 (up to 7.5 ton) as a minimum, and a valid CPC licence.


Your duties will include, sweeping and removal of controlled waste within the Borough (including roads, pavements and shopping areas) using a range of tools and equipment.


You will be required to:


  • Work alone or as part of a team

  • To transfer waste to the collection vehicle for transport to a waste processing facility

  • Be on your feet all day and work in all weather conditions

  • To maintain a courteous and efficient collection service to members of the public and to project a positive and professional image of Enfield Council always

  • To ensure that any potential danger to yourself, other employees or the public is minimised

  • To have a basic literacy and numeracy skills to enable you to complete basic associated paperwork and have the ability to read maps and operate mobile technology.
