Job summary

London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Driver and Weighbridge Operative to support daily operations at our busy recycling centre. You will operate plant and equipment and help direct customers.

The role combines hands-on machinery work with customer-facing duties, including weighing and charging using the weighbridge software, and ensuring a safe, compliant site.

A reliable, flexible candidate ready for a Monday–Sunday rota will thrive in this dedicated council team.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating loading shovel/material handler.
• Experience of working in a large waste service facility.
• Previous experience within a similar customer facing operational environment.
• Ability to use the weighbridge and associated software to charge and take payments.
• Must be prepared to work a rota which requires Monday to Sunday coverage.
