Job summary

Willis Re in London invites a senior broker to manage Property, Cyber & Emerging Risks, MGAs and Capital Markets. You will oversee a growing portfolio of cedants and partner with broking, analytics and capital teams to present clients with integrated risk and capital options.

You will lead placements, develop MGA/Insurtech relationships, and collaborate across teams to bring capital solutions and advisory services to clients. This role offers a broad, expanding book in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Significant reinsurance broking experience in property and specialty lines.
• Working knowledge of the cyber market and cyber accumulation modelling.
• Strong network across cedants, MGAs and capacity providers.
• Commercial judgement with ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead placements for property and emerging-risk treaties, from structuring and submission through to marketing and binding.
• Build and grow MGA/Insurtech relationships, including capacity, binder and quota share solutions.
• Work closely with Willis Re's capital markets and advisory practice, linking clients to capital offerings.
• Spot capital needs early for start-ups, MGAs and Lloyd's entrants, bringing in the right specialists.
• Develop our cyber reinsurance offering with modelling and scenario analysis.
• Build relationships with clients at C-suite level and with reinsurance markets.

Senior Broker – Property, Cyber & Emerging Risks, MGAs & Capital Markets

The role

This senior broker joins the Global Specialties team and covers Property, Cyber and Emerging Risks, MGAs and Capital Markets. You will look after a portfolio of cedants and MGA/Insurtech partners, find and develop new business, and work alongside our broking, analytics and capital teams to give clients one joined-up view of their risk and capital options. The role suits someone who enjoys new problems and wants to build a broad, growing book in a team that is expanding across London, Bermuda and the US, as well as Europe and Asia.

What You'll Do

• Lead placements for property and emerging-risk treaties, from structuring and submission through to marketing and binding.
• Build and grow MGA/Insurtech relationships, including capacity, binder and quota share solutions.
• Work closely with Willis Re's capital markets and advisory practice, which is being built across London, Bermuda and the US. Bring clients into its offering: capital and strategic advisory, Funds at Lloyd's, ILS and alternative capital, sidecars, and structured, legacy and retro solutions.
• Spot capital needs early, for example for start-ups, MGAs and Lloyd's entrants, and bring in the right specialists.
• Develop our cyber reinsurance offering. Work with clients on cyber treaty and aggregate protection, use cyber catastrophe modelling and scenario analysis to frame the risk, and bring cyber capacity to MGA and specialty programmes.
• Build relationships with clients at C-suite level and with reinsurance markets.
