Job summary

The role demands strong leadership, risk management, and a commitment to sustainability. UK health and safety knowledge is essential, with a preference for CIWM/NEBOSH certifications and driving licence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in waste management or facility management.
- CIWM Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
- IOSH/NEBOSH certification preferred.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams.
- Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.
- Driving licence required to support site operations.
- Experience in wood recycling is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the wood recycling centre.
- Manage staffing, resources, and site maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental rules.
- Monitor waste processing and recycling streams for efficiency.
- Maintain records and generate performance reports.
- Manage budgets and supplier liaison for reliable service.
- Promote safety awareness among staff and visitors.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure site cleanliness and safe working conditions.
