Job summary

Stonewater is looking for a Sustainable Supply Chain Manager to drive its sustainability strategy. The successful candidate will manage environmental systems, support the transition to a circular economy, and engage with supply chain partners. Experience in energy or sustainability is preferred, alongside knowledge of relevant legislation.

Job description

Here at Stonewater, were looking for a Sustainable Supply Chain Manager to support the delivery of Stonewaters sustainability strategy to ensure targets are met.

You will assist in the management of Stonewaters Environmental Management System and accreditations, ensuring continuous improvement and support Stonewater to transition to a more circular economy. As main point of contact for partners and suppliers on sustainability issues and facilitating knowledge sharing across Stonewaters supply chain, you will engage upstream within the supply chain to obtain more consistent reporting of environmental performance including Scope 3 emissions and sustainably sourced materials.

Providing sustainability input for all relevant procurement activity across the organisation, you will undertake whole lifecycle carbon assessments of materials to inform specifications, reduce use of single use plastic in construction and maintenance of homes and review waste reporting and environmental impact of waste and set targets for reduction.

You will contribute to Stonewaters thought leadership through research and trialling new approaches and keep up-to-date with relevant regulations, policies and trends in the industry that may impact on energy and sustainability in housing.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience within an Energy/Sustainability role, preferably within supply chain or construction.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulation.
  • Have experience of undertaking lifecycle assessments.
  • Have knowledge of the Green House Gas Protocol and measuring and reporting emissions.
  • Have knowledge of the environmental impact of building and construction.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
  • Have excellent communication and numerical skills with experience of engaging supply chains.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet.
  • Be able to chair and lead meetings.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
