Job summary
Green Aggregates, part of the VINCI Group, is seeking a proactive Plant Operative to join our production team. You will operate and maintain our processing plant safely and efficiently, ensuring repurposed products meet quality standards.
Shifts will alternate day and night with weekend coverage when required. Full training is provided, and the role offers a rewarding career in production within a safety-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in recycling, quarrying, asphalt production or similar heavy plant operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with plant control systems.
- Awareness of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Mobile or fixed plant qualifications (Loading Shovel, Telehandler, or similar).
- Basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills.
- Full training provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate control system to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor and adjust plant settings for consistent production and compliance with specifications.
- Carry out daily plant inspections and maintain equipment to safe operating standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs.
- Load and manage incoming raw materials.
- Maintain production and stock records with traceability.
- Liaise with Quality Control to meet product requirements.
- Promote and adhere to health, safety and environmental standards; report incidents.
- Support continuous improvement of site operations.
