Working pattern primarily: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.00pm = 35 hours weekly (1.0 FTE)

The LSE is seeking to employ a Sustainable Operations Officer. The post holder will be an integral member of the Sustainability Team within the Estates Division, working closely with Facilities Management, Capital Development and Residences colleagues to embed sustainable practice across the School’s operations.

The post holder will support the delivery of LSE’s operational sustainability objectives across waste and resources, sustainable travel and transport, biodiversity, and environmental data and compliance. • Understanding of environmental management systems, standards, and legislation, including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and Duty of Care requirements for waste

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, staff, and students
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate compliance records
