Job summary

Torridge District Council is seeking a Planning Officer to join its busy Development Management team in Devon. The role involves assessing planning applications, undertaking site visits, preparing reports and recommendations, and providing planning advice to customers, colleagues and elected members.

You will support planning appeals, enforcement investigations and S106 negotiations, while contributing to policy development and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning, Geography or related discipline; CPD evidence.
• Good understanding of planning legislation and policy.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities
