Job summary

DPD UK in Middleton is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to manage a local route with about 40–50 stops daily, delivering parcels with top‑notch service.

You’ll rely on Saturn handheld devices for live tracking and deliveries, and you’ll be the friendly face customers rely on for accurate, timely drops.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00, with clear progression, company incentives, and a commitment to sustainability in UK parcel delivery.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience with 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active and able to handle lifting involved in the job.
• Cares about doing a good job and treats customers and colleagues with respect.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with around 40–50 stops daily, ensuring high service levels.
• Use Saturn handheld devices for live tracking and delivery management.
• Be the friendly face customers see at drop-offs, delivering parcels accurately and on time.
• Load and unload parcels using appropriate equipment, maintaining safety throughout.
