Job summary

MFS is seeking a Lead Strategist to drive sustainability priorities within the Client Strategy Team. You will partner with investment and client-facing teams to articulate MFS's views on sustainable investing and integrate these perspectives into the investment process.

The role involves leadership in the sustainability content strategy, research agenda, and representation at client meetings and events. You will collaborate with legal, distribution, and other groups to execute initiatives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CFA, MBA or other Masters' degree strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstration of expertise of current sustainability topics, trends and best practices.
• Ability to show vision and strategic clarity is required.
• Demonstrate excellent strategic thinking and change management skills, with adaptability in a dynamic field.
• Ability to build strong relationships, inspire trust and influence with stakeholders on sustainability strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with client-facing and investment teams to represent MFS' views on sustainability and how it is incorporated into the investment process.
• Lead strategic projects pertaining to sustainable investing.
• Develop and deliver the sustainability strategy.
• Develop MFS house views and provide direction for presentations to support investment teams.
• Represent MFS at high-profile client meetings and events.
• Provide leadership for team members on strategic projects and thought leadership.
• Understand governance, investment policy and implementation issues in client decisions.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
