Job summary

Criterion Capital is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategy across our construction and real estate projects. The role partners with the design team to embed sustainable practices from inception through delivery, with potential to build and lead a dedicated team.

You will shape company-wide strategy, drive improvements, ensure compliance with environmental standards, and report progress.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Sustainability Manager role within construction or real estate.
Strong knowledge of BREEAM assessment processes; BREEAM AP accreditation is a strong advantage.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement company-wide sustainability strategy, policies and targets.
Lead sustainability delivery on projects, including BREEAM assessments and certification.
Collaborate with design teams to embed sustainable design from concept to completion.
Monitor and report on sustainability performance against targets.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and industry standards.
Support procurement and construction teams to implement sustainable materials and methods.
Visit sites to support practical application of sustainability requirements.
Lay groundwork to build and lead a sustainability team as the function expands.
Stay up to date with emerging sustainability standards and best practices.
