BAT is offering an undergraduate internship in R&D Sustainability in Southampton for a 12-month fixed-term placement starting September 2027. The role focuses on environmental impacts of New Category products, lifecycle analysis, and sustainable material initiatives.

Successful applicants will work with mentors in a vibrant, innovative setting, with reviews and development opportunities under BAT's Placement Scheme.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Chemistry, Biology, Materials or Environmental Sciences
• Environmental and sustainability knowledge
• Accurate data analysis
• Excellent presentation skills
• Collaborative attitude and ability to communicate with different audiences

Responsabilités

• Support the Life Cycle Analysis of New Category products
• Process data and conduct trend analysis on environmental impact across the portfolio
• Update key performance metrics on circularity
• Support design teams with alternative materials and designs for lower carbon initiatives
