Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Technician to lead sustainability initiatives and optimise medicines use. The role involves working with pharmacists and clinical teams to implement IV-to-oral switching and other medicines optimization projects that reduce waste and carbon footprint.

You will provide specialist medicines management support, undertake data analysis, develop training materials and support service improvement

Qualifications

• NVQ3/ BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent and registered with GPhC.
• Experience in medicines management and post-qualification pharmacy knowledge.
• Evidence of CPD and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Support medicines management and sustainability initiatives across the Trust.
• Review patients to optimise medicines use and undertake audits.
• Develop and deliver training materials for clinical teams and contribute to policy development.
