Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a legal, safe, high quality pharmaceutical service reflecting national and local policy.
• Provide enhanced medicines optimisation support to identified practices/PCNs/Neighbourhoods.
• Support improvement plans through audits and focused projects.
• Promote cost-effective prescribing using clinical decision support tools such as OptimiseRx.
• Support Medicines Optimisation data analysis and prioritisation of strategy.

Education

BTEC / City & Guilds in Pharmaceutical Science / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent

Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis

Experience in public sector roles

Understanding of medicines optimisation

Tools

Advanced keyboard skills

Use of a range of software
