Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Sustainability Manager to assist in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives for a project in Warrington. The role includes supporting the Environment, Sustainability, Permitting and Consents Manager, overseeing consultant teams, and managing environmental metrics.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, demonstrable knowledge of environmental issues in infrastructure, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field and at least a few years of experience.
• Degree in town planning, environmental or sustainability related field.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practice.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environment, Sustainability, Permitting and Consents Manager on the Kilns 3 & 4 project.
• Help develop and implement project Management Plans, including the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP).
• Assist in reporting on environmental performance and sustainability.

Skills

Knowledge of environmental key topics

Construction site safety practices

IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills

Strong organisational skills

Knowledge of UK land use planning policy

Understanding of basic environmental chemistry

Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
