Job summary

Commercial is seeking a Sustainability Operations Specialist to lead and manage projects that enhance sustainability performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. You will drive ISO14001 initiatives and support audits and reporting.

Working with the Director of Operations and Sustainability team, you will coordinate cross-functional improvements, oversee Net Zero data, and keep abreast of regulatory changes to advise teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, or related field.
• Experience leading ISO 14001 and compliance with legislative requirements.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chains and operations.
• Experience with basic sustainability reporting (SECR, Carbon Reduction Plans, Social Value, or GRI).
• Ability to analyze environmental and carbon data and present trends and opportunities.
• Project management experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead on ISO14001 management and drive compliance embedding into culture.
• Collaborate with Director of Operations to align audits for ISO14001/ISO45001.
• Lead annual reporting obligations including UN Global Compact, Modern Slavery, and Social Value; support UKSRS, SECR, and PPN06.
• Identify and drive company-wide improvement projects including Ecovadis and CDP performance.
• Oversee operational data management and Net Zero data; track progress against goals.
• Research changes to environmental legislation and advise teams across the business.
