A leading organization is looking for a dedicated individual to support the sustainability strategy in accordance with the England Golf Strategy 2025-2030. You will assist in promoting sustainability practices across golf clubs and stakeholder groups, contribute to key campaigns and work collaboratively with various teams to reduce carbon emissions effectively. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in sustainability and environmental management.
Support the ongoing implementation and management of the sustainability plan, in line with the England Golf Strategy 2025-2030 – strategic goal to ‘educate & influence on sustainability’.

England Golf Headquarters, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. Hybrid working or potential to work from home. If working remotely, it is expected to spend at least 2-3 days every 2 weeks at the headquarters.
Sufficient educational attainment to demonstrate ability to carry out the role to the required standard.
Sound understanding of golf facility management and sustainable practices.
Ability to build and sustain relationships with staff, volunteers, and partners.
Ability to empower and influence others.
Preparation and production of clear and detailed reports.
Ability to gather and analyze information.
Outstanding communication skills, including public speaking.
Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
Friendly and willing to support colleagues and customers.
Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and appropriately.
Confidence and social skills to represent the organization externally.

Interest and experience in sustainability, business management, or environmental science.
Proven budget management skills.
Valid driver’s license required for travel.
Degree in business, environmental sciences, environmental management, engineering, or sustainability.
Experience in carbon footprinting.
Understanding of the structure of national, regional, and county-based sport and golf organizations.
Experience working in business, sport, government, or NGO sectors.
