Job summary

Rullion Ltd is seeking a permanent Sustainability Manager to lead energy management and carbon reduction efforts near Whitehaven. You will develop and implement strategies aligned with client sustainability plans and guide bids and operations to meet requirements.

You will collaborate across sites and supply chains, promote sustainable materials, and drive continuous improvement while reporting monthly on performance and contributing to the company's sustainability strategy.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of sustainability issues in construction
• Degree level qualified or working toward ISEF membership at an appropriate level
• Understanding of construction processes and ability to work with engineers to find sustainable solutions
• Good understanding of carbon reduction planning
• Experience in the Nuclear industry

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific sustainability management plans aligned to client strategy
• Liaise with project site teams and supply chain to meet sustainability objectives
• Develop communication tools to inform clients and stakeholders about sustainability issues
• Support ISO 50001 commitments and data reporting for energy and GHG emissions
• Identify opportunities to improve value and sustainability in projects
• Assist designers and engineers in using sustainable materials and methods
• Capture best practices and publish case studies to drive performance
• Engage with procurement to drive continuous improvement
• Provide monthly reports on sustainability performance
• Support personal development and bid/Tender activities
