First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Sustainability Reporting Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

The role holder will lead the development, management, and reporting of environmental sustainability data. They will be responsible for ensuring the organization follows best practices regarding data used to monitor, report, and disclose progress against environmental sustainability commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Identify and understand reporting and disclosure requirements and best practices applicable to the organization concerning environmental sustainability.
2. Lead the development of reporting capabilities to ensure the organization can meet its reporting and disclosure responsibilities.
3. Act as a subject matter expert, advising and making recommendations to senior management regarding reporting and disclosure responsibilities and capabilities.
4. Proactively identify areas for continuous improvement in managing and reporting environmental sustainability data.
5. Develop recommendations for improvement to senior management and committees.
6. Provide expert advice on tools, systems, and processes for managing environmental sustainability data, aligned with best practices.
7. Lead the design, development, and implementation of approved tools, systems, and processes, ensuring data security and accuracy. Manage third-party support as needed.
8. Develop data to monitor progress against environmental commitments and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
9. Supervise and support team members involved in sustainability data management.
10. Ensure data compilation aligns with current best practices, providing supervision and expert advice.
11. Manage third-party support for data compilation where necessary.
12. Oversee the compilation and provision of data for annual sustainability performance reports, including metrics for annual reports and accounts.
13. Manage the annual process for obtaining independent assurance of key sustainability metrics, including coordinating external audits.
14. Lead the development of sustainability performance metrics at departmental levels and present data in accessible formats.
