A leading international contractor is seeking a Sustainability / Environmental Lead for a major data centre project in Newport. The successful candidate will drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, ensuring best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal for individuals with a degree in Environmental Science and prior construction advisory experience. This is a full-time role offering competitive salary and great benefits.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline.
Prior experience in a similar advisory role within construction.
Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Previous experience on data centre or high-tech construction projects is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company standards.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Support the delivery of sustainability strategies and targets.
Advise site teams on environmental and sustainability matters.
Prepare environmental reports and maintain project documentation.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders.
Promote a culture of continuous environmental improvement on-site.
