A leading international contractor is seeking a Sustainability / Environmental Lead for a major data centre project in Newport. The successful candidate will drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, ensuring best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline.
• Prior experience in a similar advisory role within construction.
• Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Previous experience on data centre or high-tech construction projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Support the delivery of sustainability strategies and targets.
• Advise site teams on environmental and sustainability matters.
• Prepare environmental reports and maintain project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous environmental improvement on-site.
