Job summary

Müller is offering a Sustainability Internship to a motivated student to join our Sustainability team. Over 13 months, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while building skills in technical expertise, leadership, communication, and more.

You’ll support data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking, contributing to sustainability initiatives and compliance with industry regulations. This placement runs 13 months with standard 8am–4pm, Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• University student on track to achieve a 2:1 or above and seeking a placement year.
• Interest in sustainability and data handling.
• Willingness to learn and develop analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist sustainability team with research and data analysis.
• Produce statistics, data views and reports within deadlines.
• Contribute to annual sustainability reporting compliance.
• Design and maintain dashboards reflecting progress.
• Support tracking of retailer and competitor sustainability targets.
• Prepare data for monthly KPI reports.
• Handle large data sets to extract insights.
• Translate data into clear formats for the wider business.
• Collaborate on group projects aligned with Müller sustainability goals.

Whatyou'llbe doing:

Müller is looking for a motivated and analytical student to join our Sustainability team. As a Sustainability Intern, you’ll support the team in driving out sustainability initiatives an ensure compliance with industry regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real‑world experience in sustainability projects, data analysis, and reporting. You’ll work closely with our team to make a tangible impact on our environment goals while building valuable skills fir your future career.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

• Research & Analysis: Assist the sustainability team by conducting research, performing data analysis, and generating insights to help deliver on key sustainability projects
• Data Reporting: Produce key statistics, data views and reports within specified timelines to support ongoing sustainability efforts
• Compliance & Reporting: Contribute to the compliance of annual sustainability reports and compliance requirements, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Dashboard Development: Work with the team to design and maintain effective, visually engaging dashboards and internal communication tools that reflect up-to-date progress
• Retailer & Competitor Insights: Support the sustainability team in tracking and mapping retailer sustainability targets and monitoring competitor progress
• KPI Reporting: Collate, review, and model sustainability data for monthly KPI reports, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the reporting process
• Data Manipulation: Build skills in handling and manipulating large data sets to extract actionable insights
• Communication Skills: Develop the ability to translate complex data into clear, simple formats for sharing with the wider business
• Group Projects: Work with other placement students on a group project that aligns with Müller sustainability goals

This placement is ideal for students passionate about sustainability and looking to develop their analytical and data-handling skills. We’re seeking university students who are on track to achieve a 2:1 and above and are looking for a placement year role.

• Data Enthusiast: Enjoys working with various data sets, both structured and unstructured
• Technical proficiency: Competence with Microsoft office, digital tools, and generating the appropriate charts for annual/monthly performance & trend analysis.
• UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
• UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
