Job summary

Securitas UK seeks a strategic and hands-on Sustainability & Environment Lead to drive the UK Sustainability Strategy in line with Group objectives.

You'll lead environmental initiatives, manage carbon reduction plans and ESG reporting, and ensure ISO 14001 compliance while collaborating with commercial teams on bids and client reporting. This role is based in Milton Keynes with a strong emphasis on governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability, ESG or environmental management.
• Strong knowledge of carbon reporting and emissions management.
• Experience with ISO 14001 or similar systems.
• Understanding of environmental legislation and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytics and reporting with attention to detail.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive mindset with drive for positive change.
• Project management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of the UK Sustainability Strategy in line with Group objectives.
• Driving environmental and sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
• Managing carbon reduction plans and emissions reporting across Scope 1, 2 and 3.
• Owning sustainability KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
• Maintaining and continually improving our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Leading environmental audits, assurance activities and corrective action programmes.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, industry standards and best practice.
• Managing sustainability accreditations, ESG assessments and client sustainability submissions.
• Developing impactful social value and community investment programmes.
• Supporting commercial teams with sustainability content for bids, tenders and client reporting.
• Identifying environmental risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating sustainability governance, leadership reporting and Board updates.
• Monitoring emerging legislation and sustainability trends to keep the business ahead of the curve.

What you’ll bring…

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach and is passionate about delivering real-world impact.

You will ideally have:

• Experience within sustainability, ESG, environmental management or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of carbon reporting and emissions management.
• Experience managing ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and sustainability reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive mindset and passion for driving positive change.
• Robust project management and organisational skills.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Ability to provide 5 year checkable work history in line with BS7858 Screening standards.
