Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) seeks a Sustainability Consultant to own client relationships and deliver ESG advisory work across a portfolio of institutional real estate clients in London.

You will manage GRESB submissions, advise on BREEAM In-Use, and collaborate with property managers and assessors to gather data. The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery with direct client contact and opportunities to grow within ESG advisory.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4 years’ experience in a client-facing consultancy role, ideally within real estate, sustainability, or the built environment.
• Experience directly with institutional investors, fund managers or asset managers.
• Strong GRESB experience with multiple submissions; solid knowledge of scoring, data coverage and validation.
• Strong BREEAM In-Use experience and understanding of current scheme version and certification.
• Track record of managing your own workstreams and deadlines with limited supervision.
• Excellent client management and communication skills, able to operate under commercial pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day contact for a portfolio of institutional investor, fund manager and asset manager clients.
• Present findings and recommendations to fund managers, asset managers and investment committees.
• Coordinate with managing agents, property managers, occupiers and third-party assessors to secure data for delivery.
• Manage client expectations on scope, timescale and achievable outcomes.
• Deliver GRESB Real Estate submissions and BREEAM In-Use guidance across portfolios.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and fee submissions; help develop tools and methodologies.
