On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Sustainability Senior Analyst for a 6 month contract based in the bank’s London office on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.

The Group Sustainability department is part of the Chief Sustainability Office and belongs to the CEO area. In its role, Group Sustainability is responsible for creating guidelines and processes for environmental and social sustainability issues, ensuring the transparency of our sustainability management and shaping an ongoing exchange with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management and interface for the sustainability management in the Group
  • Development of standards and guidelines for the management of environmental and social issues in the bank business units
  • Management of requests from rating agencies and other external sustainability initiatives
  • New regulatory and audit requirements in the area of sustainability and due diligence require the introduction or updating of internal processes:
  • Framework for sectoral environmental and social risks: The current framework requires a revision of the assessment logic due to new regulatory requirements
  • Scoring to assess the Bank’s products/business segments in terms of their reputational risk sensitivity to environmental and social risks: a new requirement of audit to introduce a formal scoring including an annual validation is to be implemented
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in a financial institution or consultancy related to sustainability
  • Proven experience in relation to sustainable finance and/or sustainable investments and/or ES due diligence is required.
  • Experience in carrying out / developing evaluation analyzes with a focus on environmental and social issues for sectors, regions or products.
  • Proven experience in leading complex projects, such as developing and implementing ESD policies and sector-specific policies or training.
  • Proven knowledge of current environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulations and policies, including Sustainable Finance Regulatory
  • Graduates with at least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, political science, natural sciences or equivalent
