Overview

Do you have a recognised qualification in Building, Surveying or planning? Have you got significant experience in the construction industry? If so we would love you to join our team as a Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive property inspections in customers' homes in Hampshire, typically working independently with our automated scheduling system and managing a varied, large and challenging workload.
• Conducting response repair surveys, mutual exchanges, minor works surveys, and investigating damp, condensation and mould, among other surveying tasks.
• Overseeing minor works, refurbishment work and general surveying as required.
• Sharing knowledge and advising on construction defects to help deliver excellent customer service.

What you\'ll be doing

As a surveyor, you\'ll be surveying. Of course you will - but more specifically you will be carrying out the items above in customers\' homes in Hampshire, with periods of working independently and collaboration with the team as needed.

Requirements

• Relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in Building, Surveying, Planning or a similar technical field, or significant experience in the construction industry. Ideally experience in social housing.
• Ability to work mostly alone in communities, with a team behind you when you return to the laptop; strong communication with colleagues and customers.
• Good time management skills, comfortable working to deadlines and managing your own workload.
• Knowledge of current methods, standards and initiatives relating to repair and refurbishment of residential dwellings; ability to share knowledge and stay up to date.
• Vehicle and valid full UK driving licence; reasonable travel within Hampshire and potential cross-area work.
