Penguin Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join a UKAS-accredited consultancy in Liverpool. The role covers surveying and analytical duties across diverse sites with strong technical support and clear progression.

Key requirements include BOHS P402/403/404, full UK driving licence, and solid knowledge of HSG264/HSG248 and asbestos legislation. You will work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector properties.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402/403/404 or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, four-stage clearance, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing per HSG248.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across commercial and public sector properties.
• Manage own workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all work complies with asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout Liverpool and the surrounding region.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will deliver high-quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1. BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
2. Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
3. Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
4. Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
5. Full UK driving licence
6. Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
7. Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
