Job summary

OnSite Central Limited in Worcester is seeking proactive Survey Assistants to join our field operations team and support Flow Survey projects across the UK. You will assist Lead Surveyors in flow survey works across domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure environments.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, occasional nights and weekends, and a CSCS Card or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Safety training and site certification preferred.
• Willingness to obtain CSCS if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Surveyors in carrying out flow survey works across domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure environments.
• Support the installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of flow and level monitoring equipment.
• Accurately record survey data, including pipe condition assessments, measurements within confined spaces, structural defects and observations, and flow/level monitoring information.
• Assist in producing survey reports, site sketches, and field records.
• Carry out basic drainage maintenance, cleaning, and unblocking activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments, method statements, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
• Assist with traffic management operations and safe site setup where required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and supervisors to ensure successful project delivery.

We are looking for proactive, safety-conscious Survey Assistants to join our growing operational team and support the delivery of Flow Survey projects across the UK.

As a key member of our field operations team, you will assist in delivering all aspects of flow surveying works, helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Surveyors in carrying out flow survey works across domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure environments.
• Support the installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of flow and level monitoring equipment.
• Assist with confined space entry activities in accordance with training, certification, and company procedures.
• Accurately record survey data, including:
• Pipe condition assessments
• Measurements within confined space environments
• Structural defects and observations
• Flow and level monitoring information
• Assist in producing survey reports, site sketches, and field records.
• Carry out basic drainage maintenance, cleaning, and unblocking activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments, method statements, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
• Assist with traffic management operations and safe site setup where required.

What You'll Need

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Aged 18 or over.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work away from home when required by operational demands.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency callouts when required.
• CSCS Card, or willingness to obtain one.
• Confined Space certification (advantageous but training can be provided).
• NRSWA Street Works accreditation (desirable).
• Previous experience within drainage, utilities, construction, or related industries is beneficial but not essential.
