Job summary

OnSite is seeking a proactive Survey Assistant in Dinnington to support CCTV drainage surveys and jetting works for domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure. You will assist the lead surveyor and help with setup, operation, and maintenance of surveying equipment.

• Confined Space Training (advantageous but can be provided)
• Street Works (NRSWA) certification (desirable)
• Previous experience in drainage, construction, or utilities (beneficial but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead surveyor in carrying out CCTV drainage surveys / Jetting Works on domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure.
• Support the setup, operation, and maintenance of surveying equipment (e.g. CCTV cameras, jetting units, sondes).
• Help with confined space entry procedures where required (in line with training and certification).
• Record survey findings accurately, including: Pipe condition, Blockages or defects, Structural issues.
• Assist in producing clear and detailed survey reports, sketches, and logs.
• Carry out basic drain cleaning and unblocking tasks when required.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with traffic management and site setup where applicable.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors on-site.

We’re looking for a proactive, safety-focused Survey Assistants to join our operational team and help us deliver high-quality drainage services to our clients.

As a key member of our field operations, you’ll be a vital part of a team delivering CCTV & Jetting works for our clients.

The Role:

Assist the lead surveyor in carrying out CCTV drainage surveys / Jetting Works on domestic, commercial, and public infrastructure.

Support the setup, operation, and maintenance of surveying equipment (e.g. CCTV cameras, jetting units, sondes).
