Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated SATO to join our surgical pharmacy team on the wards, dispensing discharge prescriptions, checking patients’ medicines, and supporting ward stock and returns.

You will work with specialist pharmacists and technicians, contribute to ward audits, and have opportunities to develop teaching links with the university. Experience in hospital pharmacy is essential and preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SATO in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Willing to develop this role alongside the surgical pharmacy team.
• Good communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing medications for discharge on the ward using a mobile dispensing station.
• Processing medication returns from surgical wards.
• Conducting checks of patients' own medications for suitability.
• Ordering and supplying medications for individual patients and ward stock.
