Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join the hospital pharmacy team. The role is based predominantly in the ward setting with 20% time in dispensary, supporting the pharmacy department.

The post is Band 3, full-time, with a permanent contract and a salary in the NHS AfC band 3 range. Applicants should have NVQ2 in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent, with NHS/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in pharmaceutical sciences is required or beneficial.
• Experience as a dispenser within NHS/Hospital pharmacy.
• Experience with stock management and inventory control.
• Able to work as part of a team and independently; able to use own initiative.

Responsabilités

• Dispense medicines according to procedure.
• Use Pharmacy computer system to produce dispensing labels.
• Prepare emergency drug boxes and maintain medication records.
• Assist in stock control management and inventory control.
