Job summary

Theatre Practitioner at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate works full-time (37.5 hours) in a flexible shift pattern within the Theatre Department of Circle Health Group. You're expected to assist the surgical team with instrument preparation, sterility, and patient monitoring, while adhering to infection control and safety standards.

Applicants should be a Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) with theatre experience and a strong focus on team collaboration, patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Theatre environment experience in scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility and supporting the anaesthetist with equipment and patient monitoring.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs; check equipment and report faults.
• Support safe, efficient surgical lists and a positive theatre environment.
