Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking experienced Decontamination Technicians to support NHS Trusts in the West Midlands. You will reprocess surgical instruments, operate Rapid AER washer disinfectors and drying cabinets, and ensure accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates will be hands-on, flexible, and reliable, with experience in NHS decontamination environments and a commitment to patient safety and efficient turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Experience with rapid AER washer disinfectors and drying cabinets.
• Ability to work in NHS clinical environments.
• Willingness to adapt to different hospitals and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate Rapid AER washer disinfectors and drying cabinets per Trust protocols.
• Clean, inspect, and pack surgical instruments for sterilisation.
• Ensure accurate use of tracking systems and documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
• Collaborate with the clinical team in a fast-paced setting.
