Carrington West is seeking a Surfacing Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple asphalt surfacing contracts across highways and infrastructure in Wiltshire, offering a strong salary and clear career progression.

You will manage projects from planning through delivery, coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors, monitor budgets and drive profitability while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing asphalt surfacing contracts within highways or infrastructure.
• A relevant construction management qualification.
• A CSCS card is held or eligible.
• Strong commercial awareness with budget control and contract negotiation.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and teams.
• Solid understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Leadership to motivate and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple asphalt surfacing contracts from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors for delivery.
• Develop forward programmes to maintain productivity and resources.
• Act as primary client contact and manage relationships.
• Monitor budgets, control costs and improve profitability.
• Work with Quantity Surveyors to maximise returns and minimise risks.
• Prepare material forecasts and allocate resources.
• Lead health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Mentor and develop operational teams.
• Conduct site audits and ensure contractual/regulatory compliance.
