Job Description

A Surface Mount Machine Operator is required for a long-term contract assignment based in Stevenage.

Responsibilities:

• Hand soldering Circuit Card Assemblies to IPC 610 & 001 standards.
• Performing fine soldering under magnification.
• Surface mount and through-hole component assembly.
• Undertaking detailed standard assembly and manufacturing activities, ensuring all work complies with procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and timescales.
• Contributing to the efficient movement of work and information within the manufacturing area.
• Adhering to agreed standards and behaviors in all activities.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations.
• Being IPC 610 certified or trained.
• Operating equipment to build circuit card assemblies, including:

• DEK screen print machine
• MyCronic pick and place machine
• ERSA reflow solder oven
• Koh automated optical inspection

Essential Skills:

• Prior knowledge of circuit card assembly.
• Dexterity for fine work.
• Ability to read and interpret layouts.
• Ability to follow instructions.

• ESD training.

Desirable Skills:

• PC literacy.
