Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking several Full Time Teaching Assistants to support SEND students in Mainstream Primary Schools in the South Liverpool area. Roles are long-term and start in September 2026, with preference for candidates experienced with Autism and ADHD and capable of managing challenging behaviours.

You will provide targeted support, help implement IEPs, and work closely with teachers and families to maintain a consistent, caring learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN or challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted behaviour and learning support to pupils with SEND needs.
• Implement, review and contribute to IEPs and behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to ensure consistent approach for each child.
• Promote a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels safe and supported.
• Use de‑escalation and positive behaviour management techniques to help pupils engage.
