ACCOUNTABLE TO Manager of Operations & Development (Supported Living)
SALARY: £31,300
HOURS: 37hrs per week
TERM: Permanent
ANNUAL LEAVE: 30 Days
LOCATION: Wishaw Base with travel within North Lanarkshire
General Description
Working as part of a team of managers the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of supported living services. Working alongside people who have a learning and/or physical disability you will ensure that people receive care and support in line with their wishes and aspirations. You will ensure the delivery of care and support meets the standards as set out by SOLs Values and the National Health and Social Care Standards
The role has a strong focus on the management, support and coaching of individual team members to ensure they are motivated and engaged to provide high quality care and support
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead Supported Living Teams to ensure they are working with people to develop and maintain relationships outside of paid support
- Lead Supported Living Teams to ensure that they are working to connect people to their communities by identifying strengths and talents and finding places where these strengths are useful and welcome
- Enable positive risk taking and promote decision making by ensuring people have the level of power and control over their lives and support that is right for them
- Facilitate regular reviews and ensure actions are carried out by teams
- Work alongside people and their teams to develop outcome-based support plans and supporting strategies
- Work in partnership with the people we support and The People Team to recruit new staff into the teams you are responsible for managing
- Liaise with multi agency teams to ensure the best possible provision of care and support
- Work in partnership with SOL Connect to support people to utilise technology enabled care to enable them to be as independent as they can be.
- Support individual staff members around practice development and improvement through regular outcome focused supervision and performance improvement plans
- Work in partnership with others to resolve conflicts
- Work in partnership with the Employee Relations Manager to ensure that probationary reviews are carried out for new staff
- Chair regular team meeting to ensure teams are supporting people in line with their needs and wishes
- Ensure rotas are completed in time, in partnership with the person and staff team
- Set up new services for people wishing to receive support from SOL
- Maintain awareness of key developments of Self-Directed Support in Scotland and the UK
- Carry out On-Call Manager duties on a rotational basis to unsure the people we support, and our frontline staff have access to support and advice out with office hours
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
