Overview
Supported Living Manager, Birmingham. Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health. This position does NOT require you to take a CQC registration. Location north Birmingham, easily commutable from Walsall.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities in a large, modern apartment complex with residential and communal facilities.
- Ensure care quality is at the forefront of service management, supporting residents to live as independently as possible.
- Manage quality and compliance, maintaining a genuinely person-centred approach to care.
- Lead, mentor and inspire the team to uphold the organisation’s ethos, fostering a culture where ideas are encouraged and staff development is supported.
- Develop and implement high standards of care, activity programming, and opportunities for personal development and progression for staff and residents alike.
- Collaborate with senior management and regional support functions to deliver excellent service outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in managerial roles within supported living, with a focus on learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.
- Strong commitment to quality, compliance, and genuinely person-centred care.
- Ability to build and lead teams, mentor individuals, and promote a positive, development-oriented culture.
- Able to work autonomously, take ownership, make decisions, and contribute to service improvement.
- Experience working with PBS/positive behaviour support functions is advantageous.
