Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supported Living Manager to lead the development of a new supported living service in North West London. This strategic leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, creating policies, shaping service frameworks, and building adult placement capacity. The service will support individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, challenging behaviour, and broader complex support needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Lead the setup, planning, and launch of the new supported living service.
  2. Design and implement care policies, risk protocols, and quality standards.
  3. Manage care delivery in accordance with CQC standards and safeguarding frameworks.
  4. Supervise recruitment, staff management, and training.
  5. Support placement building and ensure appropriate referrals.
  6. Collaborate with professionals, local authorities, families, and stakeholders.
  7. Promote independence, inclusion, and personalized care.
  8. Monitor service performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Skills and Experience Required
  1. Experience managing supported living services for adults with complex needs.
  2. Success in building or scaling placements and service capacity.
  3. Experience in service start-ups.
  4. Strong leadership and staff coordination skills.
  5. Knowledge of safeguarding, person-led support, and CQC compliance.
  6. Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 5) or equivalent management experience.
  7. Problem-solving skills with a calm, confident approach.
  8. Commitment to dignity, safety, and empowerment of service users.
