Moxie People is seeking an Operations Director - Supported Living Director in Bristol to lead, shape and elevate our supported living services, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. You will own multi-site operations, ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred support, and drive continuous improvement with direct reports including the Deputy Service Manager and Deployment Manager.

• Mobilize new schemes, drive improvements, and report KPIs to the Executive Team and Board.

Operations Director - Supported Living Director

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £65,000

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Core Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

About the Role

Are you an experienced operational leader looking for a high-impact role within adult social care and supported living? We are seeking a dynamic and values-driven Operations Director to lead, shape, and elevate our Supported Living Services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will take full operational accountability for ensuring our services deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centred support. Managing direct reports including the Deputy Service Manager and Deployment Manager, you will hold a strong operational grip across multi-site schemes, foster a continuous improvement culture, and drive excellent outcomes for the individuals we support.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence & Safeguarding: Oversee service quality, maintain the operational risk register, and lead safeguarding and incident reporting to ensure continuous learning and remediation across all services.
• Person-Centred Delivery: Ensure 100% of care plans are outcome-focused, tailored, and designed to promote independence, choice, and recovery for all service users.
• Workforce Leadership & Development: Drive workforce planning, effective rostering, and staff retention initiatives across a dispersed frontline team. Provide high-quality supervision and personal development plans to build team capability and resilience.
• Financial & Void Management: Work closely with Service Managers, housing providers, local authorities, and commissioners to maintain property standards, manage tenancies, and minimise void turnaround times.
• Service Growth & Improvement: Support the mobilization of new schemes and contracts, optimizing efficiency while reporting key performance, risk, and improvement metrics directly to the Executive Team and Board.

About You

• Senior Operational Leadership Experience: Proven track record in mental health, supported living, housing-related support, or a comparable regulated adult social care context.
• Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of complex support needs, safeguarding, and tenancy/housing management across multi-site services.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience building collaborative working relationships with commissioners, local authorities, and housing providers.
• Leadership Style: A hands-on, visible, and compassionate approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
• Values: A genuine commitment to person-centred care, quality improvement, and empowering individuals with complex needs.
