Job summary

NFP People is seeking an Operational Manager in Brighton to lead a supported housing service for people experiencing homelessness and complex support needs. The role involves managing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred support, and preparing for planned demobilisation as the service closes at contract end.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering client-centred support in homelessness, supported housing, or complex needs.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and health & safety.
• Knowledge of housing legislation and working with commissioners.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the staff team with supervision and wellbeing focus.
• Ensure residents receive effective, regularly reviewed support plans.
• Embed psychologically and trauma-informed approaches across the service.
• Oversee safeguarding, risk, health & safety and crisis response.
• Manage referrals, housing management, voids, arrears and licences.
• Monitor outcomes, quality standards and contractual performance.
• Build relationships with commissioners, local authorities and partner agencies.
