Job summary

Irwell Valley Homes in Salford is seeking a Core Coordinator (MOUP) to deliver high-quality housing-related support to young adults in the Salford area as part of our supported housing and outreach services.

You will work with a team to provide personalised support, coordinate casework, and liaise with partner agencies to enable residents to live well in their home and community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety procedures, risk and tenancy management.
• Experience with vulnerable adults, ADHD, ASD or substance misuse.
• Experience in social care or supported housing settings.

Responsibilities

• Using coaching and strengths-based approaches to enable clients to develop emotional resilience and promote independent living.
• Liaising with external agencies and raising safeguarding concerns in a timely manner.
• Completing Positive Behaviour Plans, Support Plans, Essential Profiles and Risk Assessments.
• Managing a caseload of clients, with workloads determined by client needs and service demand.
• Supporting the Project Manager to ensure housing management and enablement support is delivered to a high standard.
• Working as part of a supported housing team to provide high-quality personalised support to young adults with ADHD and ASD, alongside clients with substance misuse support needs.
• Working with young people and their extended families.

Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week) Closing date: 29th September 2026 Interview date: 5th October 2026 Interview location: Oaklands House, Suite 2, Second Floor, Oaklands House, 34 Washway Road, Sale, M33 6FS

MOUP Hours: 35 hours per week, with services operating between 7:45am and 8:10pm, Monday to Sunday worked on a shift rota including 2 on 2 off weekends and shifts across the week. Shifts are either 7:45am to 4:45pm (Early), 10:00am to 6:00pm (Flexi) or 11:10am to 8:10pm (Late).

This role will help us achieve our ambition by working as part of a team within supported housing and outreach services in Greater Manchester, providing high-quality, personalised housing-related support and enablement support to young adult clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for

• Using coaching and strengths-based approaches to enable clients to develop emotional resilience, overcome barriers, promote independent living and take control of their lives.
• Taking a lead on liaising with external agencies and raising safeguarding concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Completing Positive Behaviour Plans, Support Plans, Essential Profiles and Risk Assessments.
• Managing a caseload of clients, with workloads determined by client needs and service demand.
• Supporting the Project Manager to ensure all aspects of housing management, housing-related support and enablement support are delivered to a high standard.
• Working as part of a supported housing team to provide high-quality personalised support to young adults with ADHD and ASD, alongside clients with substance misuse support needs.
• Working with young people and their extended families.

We need people who have

• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and developments relating to vulnerable adults, including people with ADHD, ASD and substance misuse issues.
• Knowledge of issues affecting clients, including behaviour management, mental health, leaving care and neurodiversity.
• Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety procedures, risk management and tenancy management.
• Experience of working within a supported housing environment or relevant social care setting.
• Experience of supporting people with complex support needs.
• Experience of working with statutory agencies and partner organisations.
• Strong communication, recording, report-writing and IT skills.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with clients, families, colleagues and partner agencies.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise a demanding workload.

It would be advantageous if you have:

• Experience of working within supported housing services.
• Knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to housing support, safeguarding, ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities and substance misuse.
• A qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject.

Please note that an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role and you must be able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.
