Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a motivated Supported Employment Coordinator to help adults with disabilities or barriers secure meaningful paid work. You will work across local communities from Scarborough, visiting homes and workplaces, managing your own caseload and diary.

The role involves using the 5-stage Supported Employment Model, building partnerships with HAS, CYPS, DWP and employers, and providing practical job-search support while contributing to service evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience in supported employment or job-coaching would be an advantage.
• Ability to work one-to-one and in teams.
• Good knowledge of employability support and health/social care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with individuals to understand strengths, skills and aspirations.
• Provide employment support including CV development, interview coaching and in-work support.
• Engage with employers to promote inclusive recruitment and reasonable adjustments.
• Maintain high-quality records and contribute to performance reporting.
