Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Security & ILS Specialist to join a specialist security team. The role requires DV level security clearance and is based onsite in London or Cheltenham, with five days in the office.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Scientific discipline (or equivalent military/industry experience).
• Experience with SA/LSA, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and ILS databases: LIRs/LSARs.
• Experience writing ILS documentation for secure programmes.
• Familiar with defence or industrial supportability standards (e.g. S3000L, BS 60300).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering design teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of SA tasks and SA reports.
• Represent BT ILSM at formal and ad-hoc reviews.

About the role

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

This job role can be based in London or Cheltenham. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.

What you’ll be doing

• Implementation of the SA Programme of work including the provision and maintenance of associated contractual documentation and programme plans. This programme of work including maintenance task analysis, support and test equipment requirements identification, software support, PHS&T analysis, disposal analysis, producing the maintenance plan,
• Ensuring timely completion of SA tasks, the provision and maintenance of SA reports,
• Supporting and representing the BT ILSM at formal and ad-hoc review meeting and
• Day-to-day liaison activities with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the flow-down of the contract ILS requirements and timely provision of ILS / SA products.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Scientific discipline (or equivalent military/industry experience).
• Proven working knowledge of Supportability Analysis / Logistic Support Analysis (SA/LSA); Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA); ILS databases: LIRs / LSARs
• Documentation: Experience of writing ILS documentation for secure programmes
• The appropriate way to implement Assurance and Compliance.
• The actions required to maintain the integrity of managed services ·
• Standards: Familiarity with defence or industrial supportability standards (e.g. S3000L, BS 60300) · Communication: Experience in effective collaboration with engineering design teams

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Background in regulated sectors such as aerospace, defence, marine, or critical infrastructure.
• Project management or small-team leadership experience.
