Zusammenfassung

Beechway House in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a care/support worker to assist 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. You will contribute to 24-hour staff coverage and help residents participate in day-to-day decisions.

Requirements include QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care, 6 months of experience in care, and NISCC registration within 6 months. Willingness to work toward relevant qualification is essential.

Qualifikationen

• QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• 6 months experience in a formal or informal care/support role and previous experience with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
• Must be registered with NISCC or achieve registration within 6 months.
• Or 1 year’s experience in a formal or informal care/support role with learning disabilities/mental health experience and NISCC registration within 6 months.
• Must be willing to work towards relevant qualification.

Beechway House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated in the Waterside area of Derry ~Londonderry. Beechway House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.

QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
And
6 months experience in a formal or informal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental health issues.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
Or
1 years’ experience in a formal or informal care /support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.

*Informal Care / Support may include caring at home, and may also include voluntary work
